Careers at Satmart
No open positions today. We hire in small batches, mostly when an existing person is about to drown under what they were hired to do. If that sounds like the kind of place you would want to work, read on.
How we hire
Small. The team is currently 9 people, deliberately. Adding the 10th will only happen when a specific role we cannot cover within the existing team becomes the bottleneck.
Slow. We do not hire under deadline pressure. When we open a role we run it for as long as it takes to find the right person, even if that is two months. Better to be short-handed than to make a 24-month mistake.
In person, eventually. The first interviews are remote because everyone is busy. The final round is on-site in Cyprus, with a paid week of trial work. That trial week is mutual: we get to see how you actually work, and you get to see whether the team and the operation match the website.
What it is like here
- Operations and engineering sit in the same room. There is no "the engineers will fix it next quarter".
- No deferred decisions about what people own. You own outcomes from week two; we trust you on day one.
- Customer support is everyone's job some of the time. The CEO does a half-day a week on tickets, by choice.
- No on-call rotation other than the security one. The site does not page anyone over a missing image.
- Pay is in EUR, on a salary band that is published internally and reviewed each January.
The kinds of role we will be hiring for next
Operations: a senior fulfilment specialist in Cyprus, probably mid-2026. Comfortable with logistics, customs, lithium-ion shipping rules, and the rhythm of a small daily-pick warehouse.
Engineering: a generalist who is comfortable in TypeScript / Postgres / Tailwind, ideally with prior crypto-rails experience or willingness to learn. We are decidedly not hiring "front-end" or "back-end" — the whole team works the whole stack.
Compliance: a part-time MLRO once the AML/KYC programme grows past what the founder can carry. UK-qualified, comfortable with crypto-payments typologies.
How to be on the list
Email [email protected] with: a one-paragraph note on the kind of work you do best, links to two pieces of work you are proud of (code, processes, a piece of writing, a project — anything that shows the thinking), and one company you would want us to compare ourselves to.
We read every email. We will reply when a role opens that matches, even if that is six months from now.
